Useful Information Before Key Collection in Singapore (HDB Homeowners Guide)

Collecting your house keys is an exciting milestone for any homeowner in Singapore. Whether you are moving into a BTO flat, resale HDB, or new home, there are several important administrative steps you must complete before and during key collection.

At Crown Interior Design, we work closely with new homeowners and often advise them to complete these essential preparations early to avoid delays in renovation and move-in plans.

Why These Steps Matter Before Renovation

Completing these requirements early helps prevent:

  • Delays in renovation commencement

  • Utility access issues for contractors

  • Postponement of key collection

  • Unnecessary last-minute stress

For homeowners planning interior renovation, these administrative steps are just as important as selecting the right design and materials.

At Crown Interior Design, we ensure our clients are well-prepared so renovation planning, permit submissions, and site works can proceed smoothly once keys are collected.
